How is this different from a big firm or a boutique consultancy?
Big firms strategize for months, then subcontract the build to a team you never met. Boutiques promise senior-led work but still run on billable hours and junior analysts you do not see until the engagement is underway. I run both strategy and execution myself, at the same altitude, in the same engagement. There are no handoffs and no knowledge transfers, because the person who scoped the work is the person who builds it.
Do you only work on new systems, or existing ones too?
Both. Sometimes the right answer is a full build. Sometimes it is fixing or modernizing what you already have, or building a roadmap before anything gets built. I start from the outcome, not from an assumption that you need something new.
Do you build AI and automation?
Yes, when it serves the operation. I work with AI, automation, and data, but I do not add technology to look innovative. It has to reduce friction, support the work, and create value you can measure. If a problem does not need AI, I will tell you that too.
What technology do you use? Am I locked into Microsoft?
I build primarily on the Microsoft stack, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Azure SQL, and the surrounding Microsoft cloud, and I expand into AWS, Snowflake, and other tools when the engagement calls for it. I am not tied to any vendor, so the recommendation you get is based on what your operation needs, not what a partner agreement rewards. The stack is a tool. The system is the offer.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on the scope, and I scope every engagement to its deliverable. Because I start at the endpoint and work backward, we skip the long discovery cycle that stretches traditional projects. That makes the work move faster than a discovery-heavy model, but I will give you a real timeline for your specific engagement rather than a generic promise.
Do you work remotely or in person?
Both. I work remotely, and I am based in Houston. For complex operations, I often recommend in-person discovery, because some systems have to be seen in motion before they can be designed properly. A process that is hard to explain in a meeting is usually the one worth watching on-site.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. You own the data, the deliverables, and the systems, in full. No vendor lock-in, no gatekeeping, no dependency on me to keep it running. When the work is done, it is yours. That is the point.
How do we get started?

With a conversation, not a pitch. You tell me where you are trying to get to, and I tell you straight whether I am the right architect to get you there. From there, the next step is usually a Blueprint or a scoped proposal. I treat the start like dating. Trust is the foundation, and if it is not there, nothing else works.
